We were delighted to welcome Steve Darling, recently elected MP for Torbay, to Paignton Academy on Friday 14th February.
Mr Darling and Mr Williams discussed the challenges facing education both nationally, regionally and locally and then our Form Captains and senior students engaged in a lively discussion about his career, daily life as an MP, and his vision for Torbay and South Devon.
A highlight of the visit was his guide dog, Jenny, who stole the show! Our students represented the academy with pride, asking thoughtful questions and demonstrating great enthusiasm.
We sincerely appreciate Mr. Darling for taking time out of his busy schedule to inspire and engage with our students.
